CHASE Charity
Why does Pure Eau support CHASE?
It is very simple. They make life limited children and their families feel nurtured, supported and not alone, both during the life of the child and afterwards. My eldest son nearly died at 5 days old and it was the unquestionable support and care of hospital staff which saved his life. I was lucky. I knew that if he got through his illness, he would go on to lead a full and active life. But I wanted to give something back.
My connection with CHASE started at its inception but I only became actively involved with the fundraising in 1998. They needed to raise £1 million pounds to start the construction and put a specialist nurse into the community to start work.
Support groups worked tirelessly, raising money from anything such as coffee mornings to approaching charity boards of city banks and in 2000, CHASE opened its children’s hospice. It was a proud and emotional moment
However, this was just the start of the extraordinary and lasting need to raise money. Now there are 80 members in the CHASE care team – supporting families both in their own homes and at its children’s hospice. The hospice continues to bring happiness, love and support to all the families supported by CHASE. CHASE receives very limited funding from the government and has to raise over £3 million every year through general charitable donation to ensure the service continues.
This is why Pure Eau wants to support them and why every water purifier bought through Pure Eau results in a donation to CHASE.
