Pure Eau considers Bin Laden's watery ending

Osama Bin Laden – Pure Eau considers his watery ending.
The swift sea burial of Osama Bin Laden has raised controversy regarding the death of the most wanted terrorist in the world according to the Guardian. (www.guardian 3/5/11) Osama bin Laden, 54, had been hiding Abbottabad, Pakistan, eluding the World for a decade. Saturday was initially the day Obama had planned the assault, but plans had to be delayed due to bad weather. Helicopters in the dead of night flew in formation across the lower ranges of the Himalayas, then dropped precipitously on their target, a three-storey house on an acre of land in a wealthy suburb of Abbottabad - the training ground of Pakistan's powerful military officer corps. The soldiers who carried out the attack are thought to be the elite Seal Team Six, a highly secretive counter-terrorism unit that works closely with the CIA. It is believed the Americans had been led there by one of Osama bin Laden's most trusted men: a courier. Local residents reported three large blasts shortly after the helicopters passed overhead. The al-Qaida fighters holed up inside fought back, trading gunfire for nearly 40 minutes, as the US troops cleared the compound floor by floor. Pure Eau supports the importance of keeping the world a safer, healthier and environmentally cleaner place. We do our bit too by ensuring our water coolers and water filters provide you with fresh pure water without polluting the planet.
The Americans then reached Bin Laden – the man with a $25m bounty who was identified by name by one of his own wives. As the raiding party closed in on the last unsecured room in the compound, Bin Laden, had no weapon on him and was shot dead. The Americans scoured the house for intelligence, took photos of the body, using facial recognition technology to compare it with pictures. It was confirmed to be him. Senior US officials initially told news agencies that his body would be disposed of in accordance with Islamic tradition, which involves ritual washing, shrouding and burial within 24 hours, although the bodies of Uday and Qusay Hussein – sons of the Iraqi dictator – were held for 11 days before being released for burial. Burial at sea is rare in Islam, although permitted in certain circumstances. One is if the body is likely to decay before the ship reaches land on a long voyage, and the other is the risk of a land grave being exhumed or mutilating the body – which could have happened in the case of Bin Laden. For sea burial, the body should be lowered into the water in a vessel of clay or with a weight tied to its feet, and should not be lowered at a point where it is eaten up immediately by the sea predators. Osama bin Laden's burial reportedly took place from the deck of the USS aircraft carrier Carl Vinson in the North Arabian Sea and has been criticized by Muslim scholars who claim it had breached Sharia law which may provoke calls for revenge attacks on US targets. Pure Eau hopes this is merely speculation.
