Mississippi fields – flooded by water
It appears that there just seems to be one natural disaster after another in the news at the moment. The town folk of Butte LaRose, Mississippi have fled their homes to escape the flooding which is expected today according to the (Independent, 16/511.) The Mississippi floodgates were opened for the first time in nearly four decades. Water has begun spewing through the floodgates and will continue to crawl through the swamps of Louisiana's Cajun country. People have been forced to higher ground while leaving much of the land under 10 to 20 feet of water. Fish were seen jumping and hurling through the white froth and the dry fields were quickly immersed under water. Flood water can have a huge impact on drinking water. At Pure Eau we take water purification very seriously. All our water coolers and water filters use a process called ‘Reverse Osmosis’ which removes all the contaminants leaving you with fresh, pure drinking water.
The International Space Station have taken amazing photographs, showing how the areas of Ruckers Place, Tennessee, and Tomato, in Arkansas, have all been surrounded by water. The opening of the spillway quickly diverted water from Baton Rouge and New Orleans, and the numerous oil refineries and chemical plants along the lower reaches of the Mississippi. Diverting the water away from the cities eases the strain on levees thus reducing the potential for catastrophic flooding. The water will continue to flow 20 miles south into the Atchafalaya Basin, and from there it will roll on to Morgan City, an oil-and-seafood hub with a community of 12,000. Catastrophic flooding can have a devastating impact on communities. You only have to consider the devastation caused to the town of Minamisanriku in Japan, wiped out by the Tsunami as reported by the BBC (14/3/11) Drinking water in Japan was severely contaminated by the oil spill and pollutants. It is crucial to drink only pure water which is why Pure Eau offers nothing less than fresh and pure drinking water through our water coolers and water filters.
Pure Eau has a solution to all your drinking needs. Our water coolers and water filters allow you to drink as much pure water as you can drink.
