‘Pure-Eau’ makes the perfect ‘British’ cup of tea

25 March 2011

With the coffee industry taking the UK by storm especially within the last few years, isn’t it about time we remembered our roots and remembered what made Britain Great? … Good ‘ole fashioned’ cup of Rosy Lee, cup of ‘Char’…I’m talking tea – the cornerstone of British Culture.
We love a nice cup of tea at Pure-Eau and so do our customers. They use our water coolers, water filters and boiling and chilled taps to ensure the water they make their tea with is pure and filtered. Tea is a miracle elixir. It has been known to fight cancer, strengthens teeth enamel and lower the risk of heart disease but not if the water you fill your kettle with contains the very same contaminants which gives you the very same diseases.

How do we make the perfect cup of tea?

1. Use filtered water – Pure Eau only use ‘pure water’ which has been through a process called reverse osmosis process which removes chemicals and contaminants which are not only harmful to your kettle causing a build-up of lime scale, but are very harmful to the body as they contain toxins.
2. Boil the water and heat the teapot. Unless the water is at boiling point when it makes contact with the tea, the tea will never properly brew. It is always better to use a teapot and warm it first before using but if not, make sure the cup is hot too, and if necessary use near-boiling water.
3.  Use good quality loose tea, not tea-bags!  Tea that ends up in tea-bags is the dust that gets swept up off the floor when loose tea is packaged. Also, the bag itself is often made from bleached paper, which affects the taste of the tea.  Add a scoop of tea per person (more if you like it stronger) Leave to brew for at least two minutes – (again, longer if you like your tea stronger) Strain the tea and bingo!
4. How do you take it? -  However you fancy, black or maybe with a little milk or lemon but not cream or high fat milk as it ruins the flavour. Add a little sugar to sweeten if you chosen or maybe some honey.

There are hundreds of types of tea to chose from – it is just a matter of preference and taste. The quality of the tea lies in the quality of the water you begin with. Pure Eau offers water solutions to make the perfect cup of tea. Our water coolers and water filters provide clean and pure water for the home and office.
