Manchester Water Coolers
Concern about the quality of drinking water in Manchester and other major cities of the UK is rife. Many people are questioning the addition of chemicals to drinking water which are supposedly there to improve its quality and taste and whether or not it is ultimately safe to drink.
Then there is the bottle issue. There have been many stories over the past few years, not only asking whether mineral or bottled water is healthier than tap water but also reporting the issue of the plastic container itself. The leaching of chemicals from the bottle into the water due to the quality of the plastic and the very lengthy storage times of bottled water before it reaches the shelves and the disintegration of the plastic when the bottle is reused, not to mention the question of sanitisation.
The solution to these problems has been to use water coolers plumbed into the mains water supply, some of which used a carbon filter which minimally reduced the impurities in the water, and some of which just cooled the piped water through the unit.
Now there is technology which can greatly reduce the impurities in drinking water from the tap in the form of a reverse osmosis membrane. The R O unit is installed in a similar way to any other water cooler in an office environment but due to the superior technology and quality of the filters, the drinking water it produces is almost pure.
It is clean, fresh, tastes great and due to the R O membrane removes chlorine, fluoride and other added chemicals, especially important in cities such as Manchester where the issue of fluoridating the mains water supply has raised concerns among its inhabitants.
With the Government trying to ensure that the population of Manchester have fluoridated drinking water and many people objecting on the grounds of health, stating that it is toxic and depriving people of choice, using a drinking water filtration system in the home or the workplace, ensures that water intake, essential to health, is healthy and clean.
