There are a few different methods of water filtration, each one with its own validity and effectiveness. Costs and systems vary but generally, the purpose of buying a filtration system is to improve the taste, aesthetics and quality in terms of health and hygiene.
Pure Eau are one of the leading suppliers of Reverse Osmosis water filter systems in the UK. Our units feature a multi-stage filtration system including a reverse osmosis membrane, which removes 96% of the impurities in tap water.
As the taste of tap water is defined by the chemicals added to it, our system restores drinking water to its natural state providing only pure, clean fresh water.
The advantages of installing a Pure Eau filter system are many fold, not least the quality of the drinking water. The units:
• Are compact and fit neatly into a standard size cupboard under the sink, easily installed without the need of a plumber
• Have cartridges which only need to be changed every 10-12 months depending on its usage
• Cartridges are designed specifically to fit this unit and are easy to replace.
• Produce 2 litres a minute flow rate
The filters used in the Denali Hydromatic are as follows:
1). Sediment Filter: The sediment filter works by passing the water through it to remove suspended matter such as sand, mud and various metallic oxides over 5 microns.
2). Activated Carbon filters: Pre and post Activated Carbon (AC) Filtration is an established technology which works through the absorption of compounds which cause problems in drinking water. AC is an extremely porous material with a very large surface area attracting chemical pollutants and are held by the AC's surface. These water filters are best suited for the removal of organic compounds and remove particles over 1 micron in size.
The function of the pre activated carbon is to remove taste and smell but systems with supporting technology such as reverse osmosis, will also remove some harmful contaminants and impurities.
The post carbon filter is the final filtration after reverse osmosis to remove any remaining impurities.
3). Reverse Osmosis Filter: Reverse osmosis is the latest technology in water filtration where water passes under pressure through a semi-permeable membrane - 00000.5 microns. This allows water to pass through but the perforations are so micro in size, that it prevents other particles from passing through, such as toxins, bacteria, parasites, salts and heavy metals. This ensures 96% purity and great tasting water.
